A raiding friend of Bolshka's (in fact the raid leader)... has been permabanned for using "Third Party Software". There is no relief aside from emailing about this issue (you cannot call), and it's instantaneous, you are simply banned and sent packing. It's a horrible situation, considering the raid leader is not the kind of person to use this kind of software to hack the game. He's just successful, so that might've nailed him too.

This software was not identified by name... but I am placing a list of addons/mods he used here, so that you all may consider what you have that matches. It might be a good idea to try to avoid these addon/mods until it has been proven that they were not the culprit. It may not help, but it's an attempt to take care of ourselves, to avoid a similar fate.

This software was obtained from WowAce, and DeadlyBossMods.com. They might have malicious script as well. Be cautious.

Quote :
-Deadly Boss Mods (previously known as LaVendetta)
-Grid: A wowace2 mod, comprised of:
Grid (core addon)
GridDynamicLayout (very useful for healers needing pet frames)
GridLayoutForHealers (makes healing targeting easier with more layouts)
GridoRA2Layouts (another set of ORA2 layouts)
-Scrolling Combat Text
-Nature Enemy Cast Bar
-Omen
-Threat Meters
-ORA2

Still no word on what it "might have been". Just insta-click off, insta-click back on. After his email, he was reinstated in three days.

....Really interesting way of customer management Blizzard has, I swear.

Still, watch your addons/mods, ladies and gents. It's always a concern, but moreso to see them handle things they way they do...
