So apparently when one becomes 'friendly' with "The Violet Eye",(the faction one reps up with in Karazhan), you may accept a 'quest' that gives a ring from a quest giver directly outside the front door. The chick will suddenly appear with the yellow ! mark.
BE VERY CAREFUL IN ACCEPTING THE QUESTS ON THIS GIVER, as you will be given a ring related to your class in accepting it. Look carefully and read carefully which you will accept, because after the initial accept, there is no turning back. The acceptance of the quest immediately drops a ring in your inventory.
GMs also will not switch out this ring, because you have the option at 'exalted' to change it yourself, so you're simply -stuck- if you get the wrong one, until you rep up.
